| One of the more interesting thing I think I noticed through this whole debate is how it almost seemed to me that the media had it all decided before anything was set in stone. I wonder if the national media was more in Oregon's corner, if that wouldn't have changed things (before VT and LSU lost). I wonder if seeing the nation's reaction isn't part of the decision making process. Or if the media was just stating the obvious - knowing how these things work.
But I felt like it was over before 12/4, just by what I was reading online.
The other frustrating thing is that there is so much more pressure on Oregon and pac-10 teams to win bowl games. If either OSU or Notre Dame loses, I doubt anyone will blink an eye - and I doubt we'd here about it next year. Wheras if Oregon loses, it will never be forgotten. |
