Sight and Sound Top 10 Films

1. Citizen Kane (Welles, USA, 1941)
2. Vertigo (Hitchcock, USA, 1958)
3. La Regle du jeu (Renoir, France, 1939)
4. The Godfather, Parts I and II (Coppola, 1972, and 1974, USA)
5. Tokyo Story (Ozu, Japan, 1953)
6. 2001: A Space Odyssey (Kubrick, 1968, USA)
7. The Battleship Potemkin (Eisenstein, 1925, USSR)
Sunrise (Murnau, 1927, USA)
9. 8 1/2 (Fellini, 1963, Italy)
10. Singin' in the Rain (Donen/Kelly, 1952, USA)

Every 10 years starting in 1952, Sight and Sound has released the top ten films that were made in the previous decades. This is the latest version, the 2002 version. This is THE list. AFI's list is just American films. IMDB is not at all credible because of its votes by everyday users.
