| Obviously the Rose Bowl has been a factor in relation to how people perceive the complete 2005 season. But even before the game, it seems odd to me that Reggie was projected ahead and eventually won by so much. Even as a USC fan, it was never clear to me that Reggie would win because by all means, VY was spectacular and doing things that no one could do.
The combination of a poor outing for VY against TTech and Reggie's magic against Fresno St. late in the season was probably the nail in the coffin.
