STANFORD may have been a few matches shy of claiming the Pac-10 Volleyball title in 2005, but it was picked to take this year's Conference title by the league's coaches. The Cardinal, who finished 13th nationally last season, picked up eight first place votes and tallied 10 points more than second-place UCLA. UCLA's 79 points were trailed by defending Pac-10 and National Champion WASHINGTON, which was picked third with 76 points.
