futher on the onside call, I still don't undersntad how they missed it, the Ducks never even recovered the ball...ok I can understand the refs not picking up the 9-10 yard thing but come on the Ducks never even had the ball
wow I would be PISSED if I was a Sooner fan, but because I'm not I have one thing to say to Sooner fans: karma....you guys screw us every year in the BCS and now look whats happened |
yeah, the Oregon player definitely seemed to have touched it first after looking it the review. And the call was that a Sooner touched it first. If anything was in question in the play, it was 2 things: 1) the 10 yard rule, making it a live ball if it had gone ten yards, then it would have been okay for the Oregon guy to have touched it. But that wasn't what the call was ruled on the field. 2) Who recovered it right before the whistle blew. The whistle blew right away - when the officials said they saw an Oregon guy recover it, ( I couldn't tell who got it first) but if the Oregon guy did get it and the whistle blew then- it's a moot point if the Oklahoma guy scrapped for it and got it later. This is how I understand it. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
Either way, it seemed to be a bad call...sorry Ducks!
