Don’t be sorry for cheering for Notre Dame they are a good team. I, although not a huge ND fan do follow them. They have one of the most storied programs in all of college sports. I am making a confession to Brady and PAC-Ten Talk that yes I am a fan of Notre Dame, although by far not the biggest.
Say what you will about how they deserve or don't deserve to be in the BCS they still are a good team. It doesn't matter that they squeaked by Stanford. Stanford had a lot to play for in that game it was their last game in the stadium, it had national exposure, and they were playing for a bowl berth so of course they were going to play well. Given the right setting I am convinced anyone can beat anyone on any given Saturday. After all that is why you play the games. Give Notre Dame credit for getting the "W," the win is all that matters.
The BCS dilemma
There will always be controversy at the end of every regular season. I hope one day for a play-off, but it is just a hope and at this point and we are stuck with the system we have. This year there are some really good teams that are going to be left out. Strong arguments can be made for all of them. I think ND has a strong argument and they have a tremendous following which is going to tip the scale in their favor. Not fair? Maybe but that is the way it goes.
My prediction for Tempe
Notre Dame vs. Oregon (who really deserves to go) and the winner is...
Notre Dame wins in a close one.
