Keller vs Carpenter

Wow, even though the loss to Stanford was a bad one..that shouldn't have happened...one good thing outta the loss was a look at freshman Rudy Carpenter. Coming in during the 3rd quarter to put up very very nice looking stats:

Quote:
Comp/Attmp.: 19/25
Yards:304
TD:3
INT:1
Those stats are just excellent and what we like to see.

I can't imagine that there is a QB controversey down there (Keller looked god-awful but he is being bothered by injuries right?)...I think you gotta stick with Keller the rest of the way regardless of his less then bad performance.

But at least we know Carpenter might just be the real deal.

those are really nice numbers for 3rd quarter. I love looking at stats - they tell another side of the story.

Carpenter is going to be a real solid quarterback one of these days. I think at this point you have to stay with Keller though. Keller is the leader of the team, and he'll be back on track whenever his injuries heal up. It is nice to see that the backup can toss the ball around too

I agree, Keller is better but Carpenter is a freshman and will be good when he starts when Keller leaves. We also have that Shaw guy that's a freshman. ASU keeps getting good QB's.
