USC 77 -- Arizona 70

Looks like the Arizona basketball powerhouse has taken a bit of a stumble this year as they fall to 13-8. I'm surprised by both of these teams... but at least USC surprised me in a good way.

Arizona should be ashamed with the way they are deigning themselves to a team like USC.

The first basketball game that I ever go to and SC stomps on the preseason #10 school!! Despite the fact that Arizona was getting the most ridiculous calls in its favor down the stretch, the SC defense just had Arizona on lockdown. Great game!

Fight On!

I think that we are all witnessing the downfall of Arizona from prominence before our very eyes.

According to Bracketology at ESPN, they are projecting UCLA, Washington, Arizona, and California all to make it. That was before Arizona's last loss, so that has probably changed. Usually you need like 19 or 20 wins, which would mean they can only really afford to lose one or two more. Considering they are riding a three game losing streak, and they still have some tough games coming up, it doesn't look promising.

Agreed, their schedule (UW, Stanford and Cal away) will make it too hard to get the number of wins that they'll need.

i agree that 'zona is down, but lute olson is just too good of a recriuter and arizona is just too established as a powerhouse for thier program to melt into obscurity, look at kansas, kentucky and NC this year, same story.
