This week, America's elite swimmers will compete for spots on five international teams at the 2006 ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championships, and nine former and current California women's swimmers will be among the participants. The meet, which starts today and runs through Saturday Aug. 5 at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatic Center in Irvine, Calif., will feature nearly 20 Olympic gold medalists, including former Cal star Natalie Coughlin.
