California senior Paul Teinert broke his own school record in the men's javelin final and sophomore teammate Alysia Johnson took third place in the 800-meter run on Saturday, the final day of competition, at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Sacramento State's Alex G. Spanos Sports Complex. Teinert, who took fifth place in the javelin, had a mark of 236-00 (71.93) with his third throw in the final to break his old school record of 235-11. Johnson, in the 800, ran a personal record of 2:03.04, which is the second fastest time in Cal history.
