What is it with this site and all the Notre Dame hatred. I don't get it they are a good team with great chances this year.

On another note. I listened to the ASU game last night and was terrified. I really thought this is was going to be their year. I am not giving up hope but that win did not inspire confidence. I have always liked Kotter, but if this kind of performance continues I may join the cut Kotter campaign.

I think you can chalk up the anti-ND stuff to jealousy. (me included). It seems unfair that a team that doesn't produce that much gets a date to the dance. ND shut out the Ducks this year out of a BCS bowl bid - and rightfully so, seeing how the Ducks did at the Holiday - but again, it's a jealousy thing. I'll be the first to admit it. They get a lot of glory: If any Pac-10 team had the schedule and season that ND had, they wouldn't get past the Sun Bowl. But you could easily debate that I'm sure - that's just my love for the Pac-10 talking.

As for ASU -I'm really hoping we don't see a re-play of last year. I was really disappointed after last season. I'm already in the cut-Koetter camp, but that's probably just because I'm a Duck. I don't have loyalty to their coaching staff.

I ask you this, why do most people hate the Yankees, Lakers, Cowboys, and Duke basketball? They generate undeserved notoriety, money, and much of their fame comes from decades past. In the process they give the middle finger to every other program out there and the media just sucks it all up because a team that has such a following of fans and haters will only generate more money. Listening to a ND fan, you would think that Knute Rockne invented the telephone, was the first person to circumnavigate the globe, brought peace to WWI Europe, designed the Empire State Building, and single handedly saved 1,000 little children in India from a horde of raging tigers. Finally, what Autzen said.

1. I truley believe they are overatted and were overatted last year
2. they have their own channel and compete independly as a football team but join the big east for basketball-LAME!
3. I wish they'd schedule OSU, so we could kick their ASS AGAIN!!!!!

as well they are a natural rival to the pac ten, they play vs us all the time and are as tradition rich as us

if you make it a bowl game vs. them I'm about 99.9% sure we would win (the .1% would be if we just don't show up)

okay, so I'm officially here to eat some crow. ND just thrashed Penn State. I don't know anything about Penn State's team this year, but it certainly looks like ND is really, really, for real this year- not just hyped.
