Idaho Vandals

with Erickson as their coach I have to expect big things in Moscow, they played MSU very well (a MSU team under Smith who traditionally does VERY well in the first 6-7 games before falling apart)

the Vandals will be very good in a few years, Erickson is probably the most underatted coach in the nation (esp for a guy who has 2 nati titles and a fiesta winner (an osu team that hadn't had a winning record in 28 years before he got there and finished #3 in the nation)) us Oregonians and West Coasters know Erickson quite well but I don't think he gets credit he deserves (more than likley because he recruits troubled juco players, had trouble in the nfl and is a west coast guy)

I loved it when he was here at OSU, I esp loved the rivarly he has with Mike Price (going back to the high school level if I remember right)...there is def part of me that desperatley wants him back in Corvallis (many other Beavers feel the same way) and he frankly would like it too, but I also really like Mike Riley, whats nice about both is they are both Northwesters-in a perfect world we'd have Co-Head Coaches

I heard some announcers talking about the differences between the two coaches (I think during the Beav's game). And someone said that you always know where you stand with Erickson, while Riley tends to treat his players like family. They would be a dynamic duo - but only room for one at the top! I think we will see Riley finally take this program where it needs to go. I keep hoping for him, since he seems like such a nice guy. Erickson just scares the crap out of me.

riley has had us going up with exception to last year's step back, but he is just 24-26 at OSU

my ulimate goal for osu is bowl game every year and every say 5-7 years challenge for a bcs game, thats more than 24-26 but you have to understand how bad we were before and the fact that we switched from the option to our current offense

no, totally. The current offense is great!

What do you make of the new Linfield coach? I know Riley goes back to that school and lots of other coaches come from there, who've moved to OSU.

ya riley snatched up Jay Locey his former Corvallis high school buddy, I personally love it since he brings a d-3 nati title to the table

im not sure why fsn made it look like the players wouldnt listen to the guy cause he's d-3...whatever he still has a ring and made linfield top 10

i just hope linfield doesnt drop off now

my former boss is a huge Linfield fan - in fact, her dad is Dean or something. So she keeps me posted on all the football action, and is so pissed about how the coaches keep leaving for OSU.

So I've been watching Linfield for awhile, and they are seriously awesome for thier division. Anyone would be lucky to snatch up one of thier coaches.

really, only #6? I'd at least give them #3. Brett Elliot or not (Brett Elliot is my boss's Steve Young to me....yaeh, old timer, here.)

no seriously, wtf. Hass was so underrated in the pac-10- it was sick. He is huge, and can catch ANYTHING,...I swear it goes back to the pac-10 bias. "It must be something wrong with Hass, cuz it just couldn't be anyone else's fault. He's from the pac-10". Okay, I made that all up. but it seriously pisses me off. Same thing with Joey. And you could argue that....feel free.

Hass is extremely underrated. He's not as big as some other big time receivers, but check out his yards per year. ESPN Player Page ...that is just insane.

he was ridiculous, had he played 4 years he would have been breaking NCAA records

but brady, its not that I think Mike wil be some Chad Johnson-but to get cut from a team???? I mean come on Saints you traded your best WR and Mike Hass is a guy who does just about everything, block, run perfect routes, good hands and has decent size the only knock is speed-but its not like he's real slow he's just no Steve Smith, I would think he'd make a great #3 WR or at the least a GREAT special teams player
