new uniforms opinions

i think the new uniforms looked awesome. whats everyones opinion on them?

there are things I like and things I dislike about the new uni's. I don't care for the 80's apple computer numbers. But, I really like the black and I love the new Oregon logo down the side of the leg.

ultimately, if they win games in them, then keep wearing them!

I think that they looked great. Especially watching on TV in the fog: you couldn't see the player, but you could see their numbers.

ya, the pants were really sweet, they should use them alot more, they looked alot nicer than their other uni pants

The pants were cool. I thought the post about the tops that appeared a few weeks ago was a joke. I guess I was mistaken. I thought the tops were hideious although they did look better on the players then the original picture.

Is it true that 2006 is going to be a complete overhaul of the uniform design - helmets included?

They will be wearing the uniform combination they displayed against OSU. Who knows what the road uniforms will look like. Rumor has it that they will be sporting three, yes I said three, different helmets. One helmet might be chrome, rumor has it.

Chrome??? Oregon is becoming like Mariah Carrey at the AMA's... every time you blink they are sporting something new.

I guess it is pretty unique being known as the team that always wears something new. But doesn't it seem like it kills the team's identity to not have a single distinguishing uniform design? If anything, having so many uniforms makes UO look like a mall-happy obnoxious teenage girl.

lol. I agree about the identity thing not so much for Oregon and Oregon fans, but how it feels to the rest of the nation. makes it hard to really feel like you know a team personally. I think it makes it hard to "trust" the team, if that makes sense.

Remember, UO doesn't have much football history. Let me rephrase that, UO has a lot of history, just nothing worth remembering pre 1990. There is something to be said about being unique and UO has never been shy about publicity. Essentially what it boils down to is marketing, pure and simple.
