Playing a bit sloppy with some first game mistakes, and penalties, but man do they look good talent-wise. Stewart really is a beast, and Dixon looks like he was taylor made for their offense. I expected a pretty tough game... but maybe not.

Wow! What a game. The stadium was packed - and it was a hot mutha w/ all those bodies in there.

Here's what I saw: Oregon penalized themselves to death in the first half. Dropped a lot of balls and all together looked nervous/jittery. By the second half, Ducks did a a really good job. I still think though that they need work on the secondary and work on the passing game in order to compete the rest of the season. Stewart had some sort of an injury (ankle maybe?) but he walked off the field on it, so it must not be too serious. Hopefully he'll be ready to go next week...if not, Johnson looks prepared to take over that position.

From what I watched (about 3 quarters) they looked like the team to beat in the Pac 10. I watched a lot of the Cal game, a bit of USC, and the entire OSU & ASU games, but Oregon showed up far better than anyone else. It's only one game, but duck fans should be excited.

oh, man, who knows. Stanford could just be really terrible this year, but my heart says that Stanford came to play. The one variable that was missing: Stanford fans. I'd say out of a crowd of 58,000+, there were only 100-200 Stanford fans. That always has an impact. But, yeah, I'm excited. The next test is Fresno St. next weekend. We'll know more then.

ya the teams from Oregon came to play this week

as far as me nt being able to watch, its cause the TV I'm watching it on has direct tv so it doesnt get any local stations but i could watch TBS and ESPN

but not being able to see those diamond plated uni's was pretty depressing

man, we're gonna catch so much sh** this year over those uni's. I think we need to name them here - make a contest out of it or something. Last year's were nick-named TRON. Anyone got a good one?

With diamond plate, how about Ford Tough or Like a Rock? The unis are horrible, but I posted on uniwatch.com that the Ducks could wear pink, puple, and puce and I would still watch them.
