| This game is all about the match-ups. RBs: The best back in the country vs the future best back in the country (I hope). Edge OU QBs: OU QB is the X-factor. Has performed as well as Dixon except 3 INTs. Edge UO WRs: Oregon's depth is increadible. Edge UO OL: Oregon's OL should manhandle OU's DL. 5 seniors. Edge UO TE: Rosario vs a bunch of players I have no clue about. Edge: Even DL: OU's D-line is very undersized while UO D-lines were pushed around be FSU. Edge: Even LBs: OU has the best linebacker and linebacker group in the nation. Edge: OU CB: Both groups are average at best. With Bates out with a broken leg OU should be adequate: Edge: OU S: Nelson and Chung make a formidable combination. Edge: UO P: Martinez is as erratic as they come. Edge: OU PK: Although lacking long kickoffs UO has a very accurate kicker: Edge: Even This game will boil down to OU's o-line vs UO's d-line and whether or OU's QB Thompson is accurate with his throws. If UO's line can at least be adequate or average with OU's line, then Oregon will win because they won't have to sell out to stop Peterson and will force Thompson to make some plays.

| I think I was in a low level of physical shock at the end there. Still recovering from that finish. Un frickin' believable. Just unbelievable. I was having Joey Harrington flash backs. And we'll never hear the end of that about the onside kick call, although honestly I still don't understand what that was even about...10 yards or something, touched a player or something...I was in a daze. (oh and hi Rootie!) Go Ducks!

| What happened? I was contemplating what to type in this forum with about 7 minutes left in the game. I was going to say "Turnovers, Turnovers, Turnovers, and oh yeah, another Turnover." If it were not for the turnovers, Oregon would have won by at least 10 and with the exception of a couple of drives in the third quarter OU's D didn't stop UO. Oregon was its own worst enemy. The turnovers and Peterson's hard running (UO D was on the field way too long and in bad situations) were killing the Ducks. Remember, I'm a paritsan Duck hack and I think the better team won, but OU did get screwed. With that said, this is a great win and you have to give credit to Ducks for fighting to the finish. OK, now I must finish off my bottle of Malox and fortunately I had a hair cut today so no one will see the addtional gray hair. Hi Rootie!!!!!!!!

| I feel exactly the same way, Go-Pac. I couldn't have said it better. Turnover after turnover...I'm surprised they didn't put up 50 points on us. So I guess that's good to know...????? And why did they take out Dixon?? I felt like that totally deflated the offense and that it was a really BAD move, which led to a downward spiral. I don't know how they even managed to come back at all, officiating or not...

| Pulling Dixon was a baaaaaaaaad move. It totally interrupted the tempo of the game. I'm not knocking Leaf, but you keep the hot hand in the game. As much as Peterson was able to power, slice, and dice through UOs D in the second half, it was crucial that UO hold OU to only field goals instead of TDs. Now that I think about it that was HUGE. I'm happy I don't live in Oklahoma or know any OU fans, because I would have to listen to their incessant whiniing. My Pittsburgh Steeler loving heart had to deal with that for the last 6 months. It will be interesting to read some of the commentary regarding this game.

| UO got soooo many breaks in this game but in the end OU had a perfectly good shot at winning it and failed...thats the bottomline (although that onside call was some insane home field advantage, that was ridiculous I don't know how much clearer it gets) I think we just saw the two best backs in the country with Kenny Irons and Slaton getting in there a little but I'd take Stewart and Adrian over anyone |

| http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2593369 futher on the onside call, I still don't undersntad how they missed it, the Ducks never even recovered the ball...ok I can understand the refs not picking up the 9-10 yard thing but come on the Ducks never even had the ball wow I would be PISSED if I was a Sooner fan, but because I'm not I have one thing to say to Sooner fans: karma....you guys screw us every year in the BCS and now look whats happened |
