I thought the Ducks were for real this year but worried about their road schedule....but really the Ducks haven't shown me anything ALL YEAR long....


they could have lost to Fresno State who is what 1-6...they should have lost to the Sooners @ Autzen and now have got their ass kicked the 2 of the past 3 weeks

I think you're right, though - Ducks might just be really overrated this year. There's still a lot of games left, though, so I think I need to see more. I'm certain that the Ducks just layed an egg to the Cougs. They had 4 turnovers and 3 more that weren't counted for whatever reason. You can't win games when you make stupid mistakes like that. But I'm also certain that they aren't as good as Cal and that was a deserved loss.

Having most of your D core out with broken bones doesn't help. If that hadn't happened - and if the offense could pull their crap together by not making really stupid mistakes like turnovers - we'd be seeing a different team this season.

I just can't get over that we went 10-2 last year w/ Dixon and Leaf splitting snaps for half of the season......so what the heck is going on this year? Our offense should be brutal!

Kellen Clemens was the reason for many of your wins last year, lets not forget him

oh I haven't forgotten that. But the Ducks offense still looked so much better last year even after we lost Clemens. This year, you just don't know which Duck team is walking on the field. It could just be a case of overrated - but I think it might be a leadership issue, which ties into the Clemens bit.

Still looking forward to Civil War, though. You going?

I'm jealous... I want to go to a good game. The only game I made it to this year was horrible (ASU got rocked). And yeah, that OSU-Oregon showdown might be better than expected this year.

I doubt I'll be able to get tickets to the Civil War, but I'll be watching for sure. It's gonna be a show down! It will be a really exciting game this year.

btw, J. Williams tied a school record today - great game for him and J. Johnson had 3 touchdowns.

Oh yeah, and someone got proposed to at the game "Will you marry me Tammy" came up on the jumbotron and then they panned to her - she said yes. First time I've seen a proposal at a ducks game!

I graduated from Portland State and I still rooted for the Ducks. Until PSU gets a I-A program in football, they will always be second fiddle to my life long love affair with the Ducks.

I don't think Oregon is overrated, not yet. I think they will win the rest of their games except USC. As long as Oregon is not turning the ball over they can potentially beat anyone. Also, don't forget this is still an extremely young team. There are only two seniors who play a significant role of offense and three on defense. There best offensive players are three sophomores and a junior and I'm not talking about Dixon. Stewart and Johnson (when they are not fumbling), Willimas, and Lewis their center.

Sure it was 21-12 at one point. PSU is a VERY good I-AA team that has already beaten one I-A team. Most good I-AA teams can hang with any I-A programs for a half before getting blown out. The difference is depth. Many of the starters could start for I-A programs, but once you get past the starters, then you are talking about I-AA kids who would have a difficult time walking on at a I-A program. UO gave up two long runs during the game, one which resulted in a TD. Outside of those two plays, PSU had nothing.

Man, that's nice. For that kind of game, in that kind of atmosphere, the seat doesn't really matter so long as you're there.

I see the Ducks losing one more game. They will likely beat Zona - since it's at home. So the toss up goes to USC or OSU. If the Ducks beat USC, they'll lose to OSU and vice versa. They probably won't make it out with at least one more loss. But I don't think they are overrated....yet.

Huskies should've had a much closer game based on their previous games.

Ducks are overrated this year. That was the worst self-destruction I think I've ever seen out of the Ducks in a really long time. They will lose to the Beavs at Civil war for sure.

I'm now almost tempted to root for the Beavs at Civil War so they can go to the Sun Bowl.

Dixon got booed by Duck fans in his own stadium after 3 picks. I'm not okay with that at all - but that's how bad this game was....ugly, ugly, ugly. I'm going to drown my sorrows in beer now.
