The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament will be returning to Portland for the first time in 34 years. The University of Oregon will host first- and second-round games at the Rose Garden on March 19 and21, 2009, the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee announced Thursday. "I am thrilled that the University of Oregon will serve as host for the first and second rounds of the 2009 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament," said Oregon director of athletics Bill Moos. "It is exciting to know that a piece of March Madness is finally coming back to ourstate. This is something that we have had as a goal for the past 10years.
