LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Oregon was picked to finish third in a poll of sportswriters and broadcasters that was announced Thursday at the Pac-10's annual football media day. USC was slotted as the league favorite for the fourth straight year with 276 points and 18 first-place votes. California was second (247 points, 7 first-place votes), with Oregon (229, 3) and Arizona State (204, 1) rounding out the top four.
