BALTIMORE, Md. -- Oregon lacrosse head coach Jen Larsen has been named as an assistant coach for the U.S. Developmental Team, U.S. Lacrosse has announced. Missy Foote and Kerri Whitaker were also named as assistant coaches, Kim Simons Tortolani was named as the manager and Sandy Worth was named as the athletic trainer. Amy Patton, the head coach at Dartmouth College, had previously been named as the head coach of the developmental team.Larsen became the first head coach at the University of Oregon in 2003 and is guiding the development of the program into a formidable competitor. Oregon finished third in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation in 2006 after winning a school record 10 games. Larsen previously served as the assistant coach at North Carolina (2000-03), Duke (1998-2000) and Georgetown (1996-98). Larsen is a graduate of the University of Virginia where she served as a captain of the field hockey and lacrosse teams.
