Malik Hairston scored 20 of his 29 points in the second half to lead Oregon past the Shockers, a Bahaminan club team, 108-69 Sunday in the Ducks' first of five exhibition games to be played in the island nation. The Ducks made 45-of-75 field goal attempts overall, despite hitting only 8-of-31 from three-point range. Oregon had 32 assists on its 45 field goals. "I thought it was a good opening game for us to get our legs back," said Oregon coach Ernie Kent.
