Skipper Takes Seventh in USA Champs

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – UO senior Tommy Skipper placed seventh in the pole vault in third day action in the AT&T USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Michael A. Carroll Stadium on the IUPUI campus. The Sandy, Ore., native cleared a final height of 18-4 1/2 (5.60m) in his third straight USA Outdoor Championships appearance. He made third attempt clearances Friday at 17-8 1/2 (5.40m), 18-0 1/2 (5.50m) and 18-2 1/2 (5.60m), then missed his three tries at 18-8 1/4 (5.70m).
