Acosta Defends U.S. Junior 1,500m Title

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. –*UO *freshman A.J. Acosta successfully defended his junior 1,500m title in fourth day action Saturday in the Foot Locker USA Junior Outdoor Track and FIeld Championships at Michael A. Carroll Stadium on the IUPUI campus. The Oceanside, Calif., native won the junior 1,500m by .01 seconds (3:49.53) over Duck signee and incoming UO freshman Mathew Centrowitz of Arnold, Md. (second, 3:49.54).
