Oregon State-56 Eastern Washington-17

WOW, what a way to start the season, great job BEAVERS!!!!!

let me start by saying yes I do realize it was vs. a 1-AA team but come on remove baseball and my life as a Beaver fan over the past year has sucked so let me have this one lol (not that I wouldn't take a Nati Title every year lol)

Matt Moore- Looked fantastic, he was showing why he was so hyped, I really think with Mike Hass moving on he can take the next step, he now has 3-5 players he can and will and has to throw to (Newton, AWB, Stroughter, Powers, Jackson)
Yvenson Bernard- Did he look good or what? DAMN, he looks sooooo much better and some of the moves he was making were insane, he played with an injured shoulder and ankle half of last season and went through off-season surgery and its great to see he's only improved
Joe Newton - He only had 57yrds and 2 TDs in 2 Qtrs, not bad, he looks like the beast he is and btw its SOOOO VERY MUCH SO NICE NOT TO HAVE TO KICK FIELD GOALS!!!! with Joe we will have that redzone threat we needed last year and Mr. Serna won't be kicking field goals as much this year
Sammie Stroughter - Wow he had two punt returns (his 1st two), one went for a TD the other went for 20+ yards + he looked great as WR, very impressive
Sean Canfield - He's a redshirt freshman and for that he looked good as he had 140+ yrds and 2 TDs while playing in a game that was over by mid 1st qtr, however that interception wasn't too good and he looks like he could use some time to improve his overall play-but he is a redshirt freshman and has a year to develop so no biggie-and he did have good stats I'm just being picky-real picky
Clinton Polk - obviously the backup RB but his power will come in handy he looked very good
Anthony Wheat-Brown - Had a TD and looked pretty good, I was just hoping he'd stay healthy, Matt needs to go to him more but when he did AWB was there
Reuben Jackson - Looks like this guy will come in very handy, he broke one long one and showed some nice speed
Serna - Looked great from what I saw, lol that is to say he WASN'T kicking field goals and WAS kicking extra points
Sabby and the Defense - Hopefully Lewis is good to go for Boise but overall they looked great, many turnovers created
Pat Casey and the Baseball Boys - Glad to see they are coming out and supporting their fellow Beavs!
Reser Stadium - Man does it look different, I'm not sure what it is since most of it was there last year but it looks great
Mike Riley - As Autzen Powers said, its great seeing him get on these guys who make stupid penalties, its become a tradition at OSU and it needs to end if we're going to take that next step

but, Optimism is a great feeling that can only be topped by Success

BRING ON THE BRONCOS!!!!

Didn't Newton beat a school record last night? I thought I caught that in his interview.

watch out Pac-10, Beavs look scary. Cream puff team or not (EWU), OSU looks HOT this year.
