So Who Should take over...?

Right or wrong it looks like Jay John will be gone either at the end of this year or next year

Who are some candidates who you think could win in Corvallis?

Some names I've heard-
~Mike Montegomery.....Has worked and won in the Pac Ten with Stanford after building that program from trash. Also coached in the NBA and has a desire to return to college. I personally don't see him coming because A. He could go to a better situation and B. We don't got the cash...on the other hand if Kent struggles at UO he could wind up there
~Rick Adelman....He lives in Portland and has coached in the NBA including with the Blazers. Personally I don't see him coaching college but many fans want him to be coach.
~Lon Kruger....Has coached in 3 major conferences and currently is leading a resurgence at UNLV who will likely be in the NCAA tournament this year. Has gone to the Final Four. I personally could see him going to a bigger school I just don't know if he has northwest ties.
~Lester Conner....Former OSU player, went 52-6 during his two years at OSU with 2 pac ten titles. Played under Ralph Miller and played in the NBA. He is an assistant coach with the Bucks. He is a perfect choice in my opinion except for two things, A. He has no head coaching experience (though heh as expressed interest in becoming one) and more importantly B. He has no experience in college other than his playing days which were 25 years ago
~Numerous small college coaches (like Kent State's, Wichita State's etc.,) None of these guys have any northwest ties so its unlikely.

Maybe we should pick up a Duke assistant like Dawkins since our women have an ex-duke assistant haha. I perosnally would take an Izzo assistant, they always seem to be great coaches

As for the actual team, the next two years we should be better with Giles and the Tarvers then also McGillis, Washington and Jones (and Cuic). Really our main problem has been free throw shooting but our offense period is just so ugly to watch.

Oh well its baseball seaso...right?

LOL there's always a new season around the corner. I don't know much about the coaching situation up there for basketball, but if they get a new coach ASU might be alone in the basement

ASU has a bright future with Boateng coming in and that freshman from zona who is pretty good as well with pendergraph. OSU will likely be the worst in the pac ten next year even though we'll be much improved
