Summers Making Progress After Accident

Rob Summers, the Oregon State pitcher who was injured by a hit-and-run driver in Southeast Portland the night of July 12, said Thursday evening that he’d begun feeling some pain in his ankle. Since getting that ache – along with getting some feeling back in his shins, calves and ankles – demonstrates sensation in his lower body, it’s a good sign as he continues his recovery.
