In honor of the University of Oregon wearing three styles of football helmets next year, rumor has it. Here is a link to a cool web site with current and former designs of just about every football team that ever existed.

They have most of the helmets worn by the team and the current helmet. Dates are posted on the bottom of each helmet. The design for the new helmets are unknown.

Perusing that website for a while, my votes for the worst helmets in D-I are:

Eastern Washington (Big Sky)
Air Force (Mountain West)
Dartmouth (Ivy)
Duquesne (Metro Atlantic)
Mississippi Valley State (SWAC)

Dartmouth is pretty bad. There is a lot to said about tradition, but Penn St has to have the worst helmets. A blue stripe and blue face mask and that is it. Also, Nebraska's helmet leaves little to be desired.

I think I mentioned this in another thread, but Grambling has to be to worst everything. I think it is their home unis that are the worst. Bad helmet, bad colors, bad everything.

Grambling = black, gold, AND red. Not a good combination. As much as I like to bash ugly helmets, there are a handful that I like.
Florida State = Garnett and Gold, a bold spear, then add the tomahawks, very nice.
Wazzu = Easily the best logo in college football. The WSU in the shape of a cougar, nothing comes close.
Oregon (biased) = The web site doesn't show it, but the mallard green paint changes shade of green depending on light intensity and the simply lightning yellow O.
I also like Virginia = The V with the crossed swords is a very classy design.
Honorable Mention: UNC, Ole Miss, Hawaii
