Week 9 Rankings

Week 9 rankings are out and there are some rather shocking new developments. The mighty Trojans are now the #2 team in the country, with Texas taking over the #1 spot in the BCS.

Rankings in the Pac 10...

USC Trojans -- (AP Poll #1, USA Today Poll #1, BCS #2)
UCLA Bruins -- (AP Poll #8, USA Today Poll #8, BCS #6)
Oregon Ducks -- (AP Poll #14, USA Today Poll #14, BCS #11)
Cal Golden Bears -- (AP Poll #24, USA Today Poll #21, BCS #23)

The new rankings are out and there are a few odd developments. My questions are, should USC drop to #2 after a 30 point victory? and should UCLA be behind all the other unbeatens in the rankings?

In both human polls they stayed #1. When you factor in the computer rankings, Texas is stronger. They have a very small lead over USC in the BCS but I don't know why they dropped either. The only thing I can think of, is that Texas got a big boost in the computers for badly beating Texas Tech.
