Published: Mon,19 Jun 2006 15:40:42 +0000

Oregon State picked up its first-ever College World Series win in school history Monday afternoon as the No. 8-ranked Beavers beat No. 12 Georgia 5-3 in a loser-out game at Rosenblatt Stadium. Jonah Nickerson pitched seven innings of four-hit ball for OSU and the Beavers turned three double plays, including one to end the game with the tying runs on base.

OSU got some revenge over Miami last night 8-1. I watched most of the game. First time I watched a baseball game since....since.....hell I can't remember. OSU must beat Rice twice to advance to play in the Championship round. I shudder at the thought, but GO BEAVS.

I just went and watched Oregon State take down the Owls.. and I had every intention in the world to take pictures just for this site for you guys to check out some Pac-10 action in the CWS...but I was getting out of my car and realized I left batteries for my camera at home.

The Beavers fans were plentiful though, good turn out and a great win tonight. Maybe I'll try and get some pictures for you guys later, they need to keep winning though, I can't go tomorrow.

Go Pac.

That would be awesome!! You have another opportunity for the second game against Rice. With the way the Beavs are pitiching, you might have a few more chances to catch the Beavs.

Yea I couldn't go tonight becasue of work, but I'll try and get there Saturday if I can come up with some tickets. They did win tonight against Rice 2-0 and will play and have to beat North Carolina twice to win the title.

Oregon State lost tonight to NC, so they will have to win two straight against the thus-far undefeated Tarheels. Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it out to the game tonight, tickets are hard to come by for the championship series. I'll try again Monday..if the Beavers make it that long.

Game 3 today, winner take all. I might be able to catch a few innings, but between work and practice I will miss most of it. If you catch it live, give us a report. Thanks.

Chances look pretty decent I'll make it tonight.. I'll make sure and bring batteries too.

yeah, give us a report - I have no idea what time it's on today. I watched the first game against NC and heard the second game score highlights while at the Eugene Em's game. That was pretty fun to hear all these Eugenians/Ducks chearing for OSU. Go Beavs!
