I was checking out this article, and I thought it was kind of funny. I know they take their football seriously down there, but they have the governor campaigning for them lol.

"Anyone who follows college football knows this has been a successful year for LSU and we Tiger fans are some of the most passionate fans in college sports," she said Thursday. "Our team deserves a BCS berth."

"I am reminding representatives of these bowls of the excitement our state shares for this team and everything we offer as LSU fans. An invitation to any of these bowls would be a major win for both LSU and the bowls themselves," she said.

Pete Carroll doesn't even campaign for the BCS after all the years he and the PAc Ten have been screwed way worse than the SEC...stop bitching SEC (this includes, Tuberville+Meyer)...

Yah its really getting out of hand down there. Does the govenor not have any other duties to perform?? I mean the freaking govenor!!!! Thats just unreal. Its not a game to those ppl (ahem Sooners and the death threats), its life. Sad.

Huh, my thoughts exactly. All the work there is to do as a public servant, and he's campaigning for a BCS game. WTF? I still think I dislike all the stuff Urban Meyer has been saying and doing worse though. At least this is a one time thing from the gov (I think)

The terrible thing about it is, nobody down there really seems to care that the govenor is not doing her job. As long as she is promoting the football team its ok if she dismisses her duties.
