| No Wait! Irish Really Do Suck!! Are you freaking kidding me ? All I know is that OREGON blew stanford smooth off of the grass 44-20. Yet "god's team" ND, struggles all game long and better be THANKING A HIGHER POWER THAT THEY EVEN GOT OUT OF THERE WITH A WIN. The BCS is a joke. After the national championship, they don't really care about the best teams only the most "appealing". However, it is the system we signed up for, so guess I'll have to live with it. BUT I DON"T HAVE TO LIKE IT. I sure would love to get a shot at those sofftees, the irish. |

| used to be a ND fan.. now whatever... Well I kinda grew up with the ND background... From Indiana, Irish, and Catholic! I even went to a game in 2001..truly amazing. My first real college game ever. Oh and my nickname is Rootie.. yes it's spelled different but still pronounced like the famous Rudy! And when I ran in a 5K in South Bend and it ended on the 50 yard line at the ND stadium.. The whole way in I was chanting to myself ..."Rootie, Rootie!!" lol Plus all my relatives from the South Side of Chicago are Huge ND fans. So yeah I kinda fell into that pattern of the bandwagon fan. But since I wasn't really into college football at the time, I didn't give a crap or know anything else. I guess you can thank Brady for that one!  But in all, I don't hate ND like all the rest of you. But I do agree that it is kinda shady that they are making it to a BCS bowl. |

| Don't be Sorry Rootie, Don’t be sorry for cheering for Notre Dame they are a good team. I, although not a huge ND fan do follow them. They have one of the most storied programs in all of college sports. I am making a confession to Brady and PAC-Ten Talk that yes I am a fan of Notre Dame, although by far not the biggest. Say what you will about how they deserve or don't deserve to be in the BCS they still are a good team. It doesn't matter that they squeaked by Stanford. Stanford had a lot to play for in that game it was their last game in the stadium, it had national exposure, and they were playing for a bowl berth so of course they were going to play well. Given the right setting I am convinced anyone can beat anyone on any given Saturday. After all that is why you play the games. Give Notre Dame credit for getting the "W," the win is all that matters. The BCS dilemma There will always be controversy at the end of every regular season. I hope one day for a play-off, but it is just a hope and at this point and we are stuck with the system we have. This year there are some really good teams that are going to be left out. Strong arguments can be made for all of them. I think ND has a strong argument and they have a tremendous following which is going to tip the scale in their favor. Not fair? Maybe but that is the way it goes. My prediction for Tempe Notre Dame vs. Oregon (who really deserves to go) and the winner is... Notre Dame wins in a close one. ASU 2007 National Champs! |

| Well slap me in the face and serve me a milkshake, I had no idea you were a Notre Dame fan  ... I guess you learn something every day. Anyway you make some good points about the game and about Notre Dame. You can't compare teams based on past results because all teams play different. True Oregon took care of business against Stanford and Notre Dame escaped, but look at the results of the Oregon/Notre Dame vs. USC games.I'm not totally sold on them but congrats to Notre Dame on their season. I'm jealous of their prestiege and only wish I could have that for my Devils and Hawkeyes.

| The only time I ever liked the beavers was back in 2000 when they spanked the IRISH in the fiesta bowl. I heard that near the end of the game everybody in the stands were chanting RUDY RUDY !!!Oh wait I'm sorry how disrespectful!!! |
