Incoming freshmen men's golfers Joseph Bramlett and Jordan Cox have recently advanced through sectional qualifying for the 2006 U.S. Amateur. Bramlett, playing at Sharon Heights Country Club in Menlo Park, Calif., was medalist shooting 68-72 (-4) 140 to advance. Cox, playing at Cordevalle Golf Club in San Martin, Calif., fired 71-67 (-6) 138 to move on as well.
