Former Stanford swimmer Tara Kirk (2000-04) led the performances of 22 current, former and future Stanford swimmers in the long-course meters 2006 ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championships held August 1-5. Kirk was the only Stanford affiliate to earn a victory in the meet, capturing the 200 breast (2:28.46) after having finished tied for second in the 100 breast (1:07.65) earlier in the five-day event at the William Woollett Aquatics Center.
