Senior Matt Savage shot a final round score of 1-under par 69 only to fall one stroke short of taking the Pacific Coast Amateur Championship title at the Olympic Club in San Francisco, August 1-4. His four round total of 286 +3 (69-76-72-69) left him one back of Patrick Nagle 285 +4 (70-73-69-73) from Pacifica, CA.
