Official Civil War Thread

well I am officially pumped for the civil war, too bad its so far away

I believe the game is on Thanksgiving, well all I know is I'll be VERY thankful for a win!!!! or at least a non 40 point blowout game like we've had the past couple years (we really haven't had a great game since the Joey Harrington era)

Both OSU and UO look like bowl teams as of current, which is something that hasn't happened the past couple years

Will the home field streak be broken by the Ducks?

Too early to be talking about the Civil War. I will admit, the OSU game appeared to be a gimmie, but not any more.

The Ducks will be favored for sure, but we'll see if OSU can make a game of it

I think it's safe to say that this is going to be a GREAT game! It's at Reser, home of the "taking down of USC" and the Ducks are having a pretty good season. This game could go either way - and I wouldn't be surprised if the Beavs were favored to win going in. Can't wait!

The last 3/4 civil war games at Reser Oregon State has put up 40+ points on the Ducks...will that change (the year we didn't put up 40+ we were fiesta bowl champs)

It's actually going to be on Friday. But, I think Beavs will take this one all the way. Happy Turkey Day to all....may the best team win. And I will be okay with the Beavs winning. At least they'll get to the Sun Bowl!

some people are talking about riley getting the coach of the year in the pac ten...which isn't out of the question

Williamham and Doba couldn't quite get it done down the stretch, USC was less than dominant, Tedford and Bellotti disappointed.....Koetter was a huge disappointment and although stoops has his boys going now they were terrible early and harris is a joke

osu was picked like 7th preseason and are currently in the sole possession of 3rd

I'm still not a fan of Riley but its something to think about

Why would Stoops get it over Riley? UA was picked higher than OSU (Ua-6th OSU-7th) preseason and OSU will finish higher than UA not to mention OSU had one of its BIGGEST wins in the past 50 years

I could see Carroll getting because of what he lost from last year....but lets be honest I could coach USC to a 3 point win over UW....and I am no coach...Not only does he have AMAZING talent in comparison to the country but he has AMAZINGX100 in comparison with the Pac Ten and most of his tough games were home games except the first game

I'm not saying Riley should win no doubt but to say "No way"...thats just ridiculous

I do know one thing....NO WAY Bellotti wins

I think it's going to be Carroll. If OSU wins the Oregon and Hawaii games then Riley has an outside chance.

Ugh what a way to lose! At least the ducks showed up. Thats all i really wanted out of this game, make it close!!! And finally a Civil war that wasn't a beat down. Good job beavs, we supplied the ball and you scored with it. I can't believe it, 4 FG misses (3FG 1PAT). Wow.

yeah that was a hard way to lose - by just 2 points...but I don't know how many times I've seen Civil War come down to a field goal (too many). So I'm not really surprised. I'm also glad that we at least showed up to compete.
