Marcedes Lewis wins Mackey Award

I watched Marcedes play all four years at UCLA. All of the hard work that he has put in has payed off in the form of this prestigous distinction.

For those of you that don't know, the Mackey Award is awarded to the nation's top tight end in college football. The other two candidates were Anthony Fasano (Sr.) of Notre Dame and Vernon Davis (Jr.) of Maryland.

wow, that's really great for UCLA and the pac-10. Always nice to see awards given out to deserving players.

The Pac-10 was loaded at the tight end position this year. At least seven tight ends from the Pac this year will be playing on Sunday.

Well deserved. He's had a really fantastic year and that is a great way to end the regular season.
