Michigan

Quality win for the Bruins against an undefeated Michigan team in Ann Arbor. Prior to this game, Michigan had been receiving the most votes for a non Top 25 team to be in the Top 25.

That win over Michigan really was big. UCLA has gotten a few quality wins in the past couple weeks, and would seem to be in the drivers seat for the Pac 10.

Only three teams from the Pac 10 will make to the Big Dance this year. UCLA, Arizona, and Washington.

nice job Briuns! It would be nice to see a Pac-10 team really go far in the playoffs this year.

Bruinforever, do you know UCLA's bball history over, say, the last 5-10 years or so?

10 years ago, UCLA won the National Championship over Missouri. UCLA is the all-time leader in men's basketball titles in Div-1A.

This pretty much sums up UCLA basketball history with the exception of the '95 title: http://uclabruins.collegesports.com/...oden-page.html

UCLA basketball is the Notre Dame of College Football, the New York Yankess of MLB, Boston Celtics of the NBA, Montreal Canadiens of the NHL, and Dallas Cowboys (AWE I hate to say that) of the NFL.

Please excuse me people, UCLA beat Arkansas for the 1995 title not Missouri. We beat Missouri in an earlier round via Tyus Edney dribbling the length of the court and laying the ball into the basket with only seconds remaining to come from behind to beat Missouri.

Notable players on opposing teams played during the NCAA tournament:

Mississippi State-Erick Dampier
Connecticut-Donyell Marshall, Ray Allen
Oklahoma State-Bryant "Big Country" Reeves

you're funny BF (it's so much easier than BruinForever) I doubt anyone noticed your mistake - but you're so good about being accurate!

what's your take on UCLA bball. How far will they go? who could throw a wrench in your season?

We as a team do not have all the pieces in place yet. We will make the NCAA tournament but I think we will go down in the second round. We just need the quality big man and then we are there. This win at Zona tonight with only freshmen and sophs is excellent. When the sophs are seniors and the frosh are juniors, we will then make our title run.
