Damnit. Josh Shipp, our third scoring option is out for the season. Bozeman may be out for the entire season as well. Farmar's ankle is still bad, Fey and Hollins have been out for awhile. Can it get any worse???

Virtually our entire team has some sort of injury.

Does UCLA have like an injury requirement? It seems as though both football and basketball they have pretty tough luck in the injury department.

Here is the injury situation:

# sophomore guard Arron Afflalo - suffered a left hip pointer and right backside bruised soft tissue late in the Arizona State game - he underwent precautionary x-rays Tuesday, but is expected to start on Thursday vs. Washington State.
# sophomore Jordan Farmar - has been slowed most of the season with a right ankle sprain. Howland indicated that Farmar would not practice on Tuesday with any contact.
# sophomore center Lorenzo Mata - suffered a slight nose fracture in the Arizona State game and will wear a face mask for the next few games.
# senior guard/forward Cedric Bozeman - on Dec. 27, injured his left shoulder (torn cartilage). Since then, Bozeman has been undergoing rehabilitation and strengthening of his injured left shoulder and has not played in the first four Pac-10 games and will not play this weekend vs. the Washington schools.
# senior center Michael Fey - has missed the last five games with a sprained right ankle and is doubtful for this weekend.
# senior center Ryan Hollins - has missed the last five games with a strained groin. He has been cleared to do straight forward running and noncontact drills, but is also doubtful for this weekend.

So what is the status of Mata. He was coming along so well and seemed to be the best interior defensive man. The replays of his collision with Farmar looks pretty bad. I am just glad that both of em didn't get hurt.

Looks like the roll players are really gonna need to step up. Maybe Fey and Hollins got a wake up call and can step it up.

I had thought I saw our whole season just fade away when Farmar and Mata collided.

The Bruins must play a full 40 minutes to defeat Washington.

Looks like more stepping up is evident.
