UCLA's defensive talent level is just not up to par with the rest of the league. The smallish d linemen are the Bruins biggest concern and if he is responsible for recruiting that position, then his firing was probably a good thing for UCLA. Everything in football begins in the trenches.

and the 2nd biggest traitor in UCLA history, Ken Norton Jr., currently linebackers coach at USC. He was an all-American at UCLA but then became a traitor.

I would rather have the former of the two listed as the D-CO at UCLA.
