Farmar and Afflalo declare for the draft

Farmar and Afflalo declare for the draft:

UCLA guards Arron Afflalo and Jordan Farmar both declared for the NBA draft Thursday, but neither will sign with an agent, giving them the option to return to the Bruins for their junior seasons.

Afflalo and Farmar plan to hold individual workouts for specific teams that ask, with each player paying his own way to the workout sites.

"My goal as a basketball player is to play in the NBA," Farmar said. "I can always come back with a great team. It's a good situation for me to test it and see what people think about me and where I am."

June 18 will be the day of reckoning I suppose. Farmar is more of the question mark leaving; no way that Afflalo is ready. Both would serve themselves well by returning and improving their draft status for next year.

If you are a UCLA fan, keep your fingers crossed and maybe they won't get drafted or be drafted very low.

Well the problem with that reasoning is the draft doesn't work like that. If they decide to ultimately commit to the draft, after June 18, if they go undrafted they cannot return to UCLA. So if you're a true Bruin supporter, you would actually pull for them to get drafted earlier and not later. I think they will be much earlier draft picks if they choose to stay one more year.

My mistake, I thought they could go through the draft as long as they hadn't signed with an agent.
