UCLA junior RHP Hector Ambriz tossed a complete game, and freshmen Ryan Babineau and Brandon Crawford provided key hits to lead the Bruins to a 3-2 win over UC Irvine in the first round of the Malibu Regional on Friday afternoon at Eddy D. Field Stadium. UCLA improves to 33-23 and will play No. 1-seed Pepperdine on Satruday, June 3 at 3 p.m.
