LOS ANGELES -- Incoming freshman setter Taylor Carico (Manhattan Beach/Mira Costa HS) was named most valuable player for the 18 Open Division at 2006 Junior Olympic Volleyball Championships in Atlanta. Carico earned the honor on July 5 after her TCA Third Degree club defeated Long Beach Mizuno in the final (25-20, 25-17, 25-20).
