Six USC men's water polo players helped guide a powerful U.S. Men's Junior National Team through an undefeated run at the 2006 Junior Pan American Games in Montreal. Freshman J.W. Krumpholz emerged from the international action as the tournament's top scorer, rifling in 32 goals in nine games on the way to a gold medal with the U.S. squad. Fellow freshman Justin Rappel notched the fifth-best scoring tally of the tourney with 15 goals. Newcomers Matt Sagehorn and Nico Sardo were next on the list with 12 goals apiece. Freshman Anthony Artukovich and sophomore Arjan Ligtenberg also had a strong hand in the USA's overpowering performance in Montreal, registering five and six goals, respectively.
