Pete Carroll Interviewed by Miami Dolphins

A plane owned by Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga was in Costa Rica over the weekend to bring Huizenga to Pete Carroll for an interview. The Dolphins #1 priority in that interview was to find out if Carroll was interested in coming back to the NFL. There is no word on what his answer was, but if he's interested he is likely the Dolphins #1 candidate. Huizenga liked Carroll when he hired Nick Saban but Carroll was not interested at that point.

With Norm Chow already in the NFL, if Pete Carroll gets an offer he can't refuse, IMO Kiffin is probably the next USC HC.

If he leaves he's an idiot. I don't see him leaving a modern day dynasty and having everyone in southern California love him, to go back to the NFL where he failed. I think he'll stay.

I agree, I would highly doubt he leaves. Such a perfect situation for Carroll to currently be in.

He said he's staying but that he was "intrigued" by the offer. We all know how coaches are sticking to their word lately.

There won't be another opportunity for him like this one. It has everything he wants in a job. If he passes this up he'll be a college coach forever.

Post Carroll should stay

I hope Carroll knows that going back and forth between the NCAA and Pro's is going to be an unpleasant experience. Just ask AZ ST coach Dennis Erickson. He makes about the same amount of money and he does alot for the players, pac-10, and the NFL by staying.
