Tim Floyd

I don't know if anyone here actively follows USC basketball or not, but what do you all think of Tim Floyd? I remember him from the good ole days at Iowa State when he had a lot of success... not so much the NBA years.

This is the first year that I've followed Trojan hoops, but if the team was as bad as people described them to be last year, they've obviously made huge improvements since then. I don't know how much of that can be attributed to Floyd but I'm sure he's a big part of this year's "success." As long as USC has a good coach that can consistently deliver a winning season and hopefully a few tourneys in the years to come, I'm sure that most will be satisfied - and Floyd seems like he might be able to do that.

He's a class act and a pretty good coach in my opinion. I followed him close when he was still at Iowa State but kinda lost track when he jumped to the NBA. I'm glad to hear he's doing well.

i really think that usc is going to be a national caliber team within the next few years, if the football program continues to do well (and it will), it only means more exposure for one of the easiest schools to recruit to in the nation. all of this plus the good coaching is going to make sc a force within the next couple of years

Well lets hope so. If Floyd and this year's relative success isn't enough to get people excited about SC hoops next year, we can only hope that a $70M new arena right off the 110 is enough.
